Bright vintage tea set “Folk Pattern”, shape Spring, was created at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in 1957 and has an author’s overglaze painting by Vorobyevsky A.V. Beside fantasy sceneries, Alexey Vorobyevsky also liked to interpret Russian folk-art motifs. Being richly colored and emotion-saturated, the painting recalls joyful folk carousel with figures of horses, roosters, fantasy birds, and exotic flowers. Alexey Vorobyevsky masterly and comprehensively transferred the folk-art images to the porcelain mural. “Russian Style” by A.V. Vorobyevsky was appreciated by contemporaries. At International Expo held in Brussels in 1958, the author was awarded gold medal for tea services “Folk Patterns” and “Russian Lubok”. Gilding of the drawing elements perfectly complements the overall composition and makes the set an ideal interior item. This vintage tea set is a perfect housewarming gift.
