The unique tea set “Lunar”, shape Tulip, is made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory from hard porcelain and fully hand-painted on the form “Tulip”. This drawing was created in the 70s of the 20th century by N. P. Slavina – an honored artist of the RSFSR, also a member of the Russian Academy of Arts. The “Tulip” form was created in 1936 by the gifted artist of the RSFSR Serafima Yakovleva. The elegant interweaving of the leaf ornament is made with overglaze colors in dark green and soft blue tones. Gilding is used for some parts of leaves and branches, which emphasizes the sophistication of the artist’s work. The service consists of 20 items for 6 people and includes six cups, saucers, and cake plates, as well as a beautiful painted teapot and sugar bowl.
Original set is a part of Great Collection of National Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg, Russia.
